No immediate risk to schools that received threats, say Lethbridge police
LETHBRIDGE, AB – After spending most of the day investigating similar alleged threats at two city high schools, Lethbridge police indicate there is no evidence.
On Dec. 14, two Lethbridge high schools were evacuated due to alleged threats.
It began around 8 a.m. with alleged threats made towards Winston Churchill High School on the north side. The Lethbridge School Division evacuated the school and sent students and teachers home and closed the school for the day
By 11:55 a.m., a statement from the Lethbridge School Division, reported that staff and students at Lethbridge Collegiate Institute were also being evacuated and would remain at home for the rest of the day.
