Guided river walk Sunday for World Rivers Day

Sep 23, 2021 | 12:59 PM

MEDICINE HAT, AB – With a river running through the heart of the city, it’s only natural that Medicine Hat would take part in World Rivers Day on Sept. 26.

The Medicine Hat Interpretive Program will host a guided river walk Sunday at River Valley Park in Redcliff.

Participants will go on a guided walk along the river and talk about the plants and animals that call the area home and discuss how water has shaped the land.

Due to rising COVID-19 numbers, organizers ask participants to call 403-529-6225 to register. The walk starts at 2 p.m.

World Rivers Day is celebrated by millions of people in more than 100 countries.
