PSD Flint retiring from Medicine Hat Police Service
MEDICINE HAT, AB – One of Medicine Hat Police Service’s four-legged members is working his final shift today before enjoying retirement by relaxing under the sun, chasing his favourite toys in the backyard, and eating his favourite ice cream treats.
Police Service Dog Flint began working with MHPS in 2016. In June of that year, he was validated for service, certified in both general duties and drug detection. After working about three years with his original handler, Flint was re-teamed with Const. Jason Dola in the fall of 2019.
Over the course of his career, Flint was deployed more than 200 times and is credited with dozens of criminal apprehensions.
