Police locate hours after it was stolen, Lethbridge man charged

MEDICINE HAT, AB – A 32-year-old Lethbridge man is facing charges after the theft of a pickup truck early on Wednesday morning.

According to Medicine Hat Police Service, the stolen truck was seen being driven later on Wednesday. The truck was abandoned and the male seen driving the truck fled on foot. Police quickly found him hiding in the backyard of a residence.

The suspect is awaiting a bail hearing, charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from police officer, possession of stolen property over $5,000 and possession of stolen property under $5,000.
