Telus outage affecting Alberta customers

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Telus customers may be experiencing failures of services Thursday due to a cut communications line in eastern Alberta.

An alert was issued by the Alberta Emergency Management Agency just after 11 a.m.

Multiple Telus services, including landline, wireless voice, internet, TV and others are affected. Though not everyone will be impacted, if you are, you will not be able to contact help if there is an emergency. There is no timeline for repairs.

The following communities are known to have been impacted: Hanna, Cessford, Consort, Delia, Acadia Valley, Cereal, Coronation, Oyen, Veteran, Youngstown, Stettler, Drumheller and Caster. It is only a partial list at this time.
