MEDICINE HAT, AB – Firefighters continue to put out hot spots on the site of a large grass fire in the city’s north.

The department’s platoon chief says they’ve been out every day on the site of 23 Street NW.

The fire spanned four kilometres in length and was due to a spark from a farm swather on June 26.

The department also responded to a small structure fire on Sunday, July 4 at Saamis Rotary Way

There were no injuries at the single-family dwelling.

Fire bans remain in effect for the city of Medicine Hat, Redcliff, and Cypress County
