No major incidents on Canada Day for Medicine Hat Police
MEDICINE HAT, AB – Residents in the city were relatively well-behaved this Canada Day.
That’s according to the Medicine Hat Police who said they responded to 69 calls for service on July 1.
Insp. Brent Secondiak said Canada Day was “relatively uneventful” for officers. Of the total number of calls, many were bylaw-related regarding noisy parties.
According to Insp. Secondiak, that’s likely due to the lifting of indoor and outdoor gathering restrictions. He said while it is great to see people celebrating, officers are encouraging people to keep their music down and to drink responsibly.
