Jul 2, 2021 | 1:03 PM

Saskatchewan has issued a fire ban for all provincial parks and Crown land due to hot, dry weather.

The ban includes open fires, controlled burns and fireworks.

The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency says there is an extreme fire risk covering most of the province.

It is also encouraging all municipalities to consider putting their own fire bans in place.

The safety agency says there are currently 18 wildfires burning in the province.

Saskatchewan has had 202 wildfires so far this year.
