MEDICINE HAT, AB – Three schools in the area have identified more positive cases of COVID-19.

Prairie Rose Public Schools says it was informed Tuesday of a case connected to Margaret Wooding School in Redcliff and Burdett School School.

The division says close contacts were identified and 28 students and six staff have been placed into quarantine.

An additional case has also been identified at Crestwood School, the Medicine Hat Public School Division says. A case was identified at the school late on Monday.

All three schools are on AHS Alert status. Both divisions say unaffected classes can continue and those who have not been instructed to quarantine can attend school safely.

All schools in the province will move to online learning starting Friday, May 7 and continuing until Tuesday, May 25, as per the public health measures announced by the province.
