Visitor restrictions at Saskatchewan health facilities

SWIFT CURRENT, SK – Visitation at Swift Current’s Cypress Regional Hospital and long-term care centres in southwest and west-central Saskatchewan will be restricted as the risk of COVID-19 rises in the areas.

At the hospital, family members or support people will only be permitted for compassionate reasons, says the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

“Compassionate care reasons may include, but are not limited to, family or support persons during end-of-life care, major surgery, intensive care/critical care or a care partner aiding in clinical care (at the discretion of the patient’s care provider),” says a release from SHA.

Visitation will be restricted to outdoor visits and end of life care at the following long-term-care centres:

The restrictions will remain in place until further notice.
