Alberta’s finance minister visits Medicine Hat Monday as oil prices drop

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Alberta’s Finance Minister Travis Toews is in Medicine Hat today hosting a public meeting to discuss Budget 2020.
The meeting takes place as oil prices tumble below the budget’s forecast of $58 per barrel for West Texas Intermediate which opened the year at $63 bbl but has since plunged to $33 bbl as of Monday morning with most of those losses taking place in the past week.
Today’s meeting will be taking place from noon to 1 p.m. at the Hampton Inn on Box Springs Blvd.
No registration is necessary and the event is free of charge.
