Medicine Hat Tiger’s win their 5th straight in a charitable duel against Edmonton
The Medicine Hat Tigers went on to win their 5th straight, as they beat the Edmonton Oil Kings at home.
The Oil Kings lead 1-0 after the first period, before Brett Kemp got his 30th tally of the year, tying the game at one.
Mads Sogaard was superb in net, saving 36 of the 37 shots he faced on the evening. The Tigers went on to score 3 unanswered goals, beating the Oil Kings 4-1.
It was a special evening for the Tigers, as they hosted one of 17 charitable games in the “Suits Up to Promote Organ Donation” series. Teams throughout the league wear specialized “Hockey Night In Canada” themed jerseys, as well as wearing special helmet decals to create awareness for “Green Shirt Day”, in honor of the late Humboldt Broncos player, Logan Boulet.
