Third suspect in Innisfail armed robbery remains at-large

Innisfail, AB – Three people, including one who remains at-large, have now been charged in relation to an armed robbery in Innisfail.

It was just before 2:30 a.m. on Nov. 24 when Innisfail RCMP received a complaint of an armed robbery at the Innisfail Hotel.

Police say the suspects, two males and a female, gained entry to an apartment located on the top floor of the hotel and ordered a man and woman inside not to move while they stole several items before fleeing in a blue PT Cruiser-style vehicle.

On January 10, RCMP released CCTV footage of the female suspect and received numerous tips from the public that led to her being identified.

Kayla Jackson, 23, of Red Deer has been charged with robbery with a firearm, unlawfully in a dwelling house, forcible entry, and fail to comply with conditions. Jackson was released from custody and is to appear in Red Deer provincial court Feb 26.

Benjamin William Bjarnson, 33, of Red Deer has been charged with robbery with a firearm, unlawfully in a dwelling house, disguise with intent, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, pointing a firearm, use of a firearm in an indictable offence, and forcible entry. Bjarnson has been remanded to appear in Red Deer provincial court on Jan. 28

Devyn Michael Hendriksen, 23, of Red Deer has been charged with, robbery with a firearm, unlawfully in a dwelling house, disguise with intent, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, pointing a firearm, use of a firearm in an indictable offence and forcible entry.

Hendriksen is currently wanted on warrants related to this incident. RCMP are currently seeking information on his location. (See photo)
