Charges laid after paintballs fired at Lethbridge Supervised Consumption Site

LETHBRIDGE, AB — Lethbridge Police have arrested and charged a 29-year-old man in connection with an incident where paintballs were fired from a moving vehicle near the city’s Supervised Consumption Site.

The incident occurred just after midnight on Saturday. According to police, a female staff member and two male clients of the site were outside of the facility when a white Dodge truck drove by the site and fired multiple paintballs at them.

Police say the staff member was hit multiple times in the arm, leg, face and torso, while the men were able to avoid being struck. The truck allegedly returned to the scene a few seconds later to fire additional paintballs at the two males, who sought cover behind vehicles.

Jesse John James Bulman of Lethbridge was arrested on Sunday. He was charged with three counts of assault with a weapon, and one charge each of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public and mischief to property.
