VIDEO: Mavericks ready for playoffs

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Highway 3 rivalry between the Medicine Hat Mavericks and the Lethbridge Bulls gets underway once again tonight.

For the fifth straight year, the Bulls and Mavericks will meet in the Western Canadian Baseball League playoffs. The first game of a best-of-three series goes from Spitz Stadium at 7:05 p.m.

The Mavericks, who won the league championship last year, finished in third place in the Western Division with a 30-26 record, and dropped their final two games of the season to the Okotoks Dawgs this week.

The Bulls finished in second place during the regular season with a 31-25 record.
