MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Regional Hospital is moving patient registration into the new wing beginning Monday.

The registration desk was previously in the Acute Care atrium but will be moved to the Ambulatory Care building.

Signage and volunteers will be able to help patients and visitors through the new area.

The public parking lot east of the Ambulatory Care building will also open Monday.

Alberta Health Services said in a release that patients with mobility challenges may choose to park in the Ambulatory Care parking lot, the closest and quickest way to access the building. The lot can be accessed from 6 Ave SW and handicap stalls are available.

The passenger drop-off and handicap parking area at the Acute Care entrance will be closed effective April 12th to accommodate the emergency department expansion.
