Project 175 is completed on Trans-Canada Highway
MEDICINE HAT AB. – The Royal United Services Institute of Medicine Hat held a dedication ceremony on Sunday morning for the new monument erected just North-East of the intersection of 3rd Street NW and the Trans-Canada Highway in Medicine Hat.
Matt Klimaszewski, President of the Royal United Services Medicine Hat, said they had over a 100 volunteers helping to construct Project 175, it spans 100’ high by 140’ wide made of brick and stone.
“First of all it’s a project for Canada’s 150 anniversary and also as it was the 100th anniversary of the big battles of Vimy Ridge and Passchendaele. We thought it would be an excellent memorial to the battles that really made Canada a nation,” he explained.
The project took 3 weeks to complete and Klimaszewski said he is very happy with how the project turned out.
