Parties now have two weeks to clean up election signs
MEDICINE HAT, AB — With the election over and a new government unofficially elected, it’s time to get rid of all those election signs.
Parties will have two weeks to remove their signs from public property in the city, if they don’t meet the deadline, they could face a fine. Heather Trail, Supervisor for Municipal Enforcement with the Medicine Hat Police Service says this has never been an issue.
“We’ve really never had a lot of issues in the city, it’s always respectable elections in this area and they usually are very good about picking up their signs,” says Trail.
