Leaders making plans to visit Medicine Hat during campaign
MEDICINE HAT, AB — Party leaders will be descending on Medicine Hat heading into the final week of the provincial election.
The United Conservative Party has confirmed leader Jason Kenney will be in Medicine Hat on Monday, for an event at Drew Barnes campaign office at 3363 Dunmore Road. The event includes a barbecue at the office, and begins at 11:30 a.m.
The NDP responded to our question via email on Thursday, noting next week’s schedule has not been finalized.
“Southeast Alberta has been a priority of Rachel Notley’s NDP government, building and modernizing new schools, creating more than 200 new $25 a day child care spaces, and investing over $2 million to help protect Medicine Hat and surrounding areas from flooding,” the statement from a party spokesperson reads. “As you may know, it’s been a busy campaign and Rachel has been trying to get to as many communities as possible. The schedule for the next week hasn’t been finalized yet as Rachel works to talk to as many Albertans as she can about who can be trusted to fight for what matters to everyday families in Medicine Hat and across the province.”
