Jevne notches overtime winner as Tigers edge Warriors 6-5
MOOSE JAW, SK — Ryan Jevne scored twice, including the game-winner in overtime, as the Medicine Hat Tigers returned to the win column with a 6-5 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors on Wednesday night.
The Tabbies, playing their third game in four nights, finish off their road trip with a 2-1 record. They’re now 14-14-1-2 this season, while the Warriors fall to 15-6-4-1.
Jevne, playing his final season in the WHL, added a helper to earn three points in the victory. His overtime marker is his 12th of the season and first game-winner. It comes exactly one week after scoring his first career hat-trick against the Red Deer Rebels.
Defenceman Joel Craven, playing his third game back since returning from a lengthy absence with concussion-like symptoms, notched his first of the season. Rookie blue-liner Daniel Baker picked up his first career goal and added a couple helpers for a career-high three points and the night’s second star.
