Libke hired as pitching coach for Mavericks

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Jared Libke’s career will continue with the Medicine Hat Mavericks, this time as a coach.
The team announced on Thursday that Libke, who pitched several seasons with the Mavericks, will be the pitching coach for the 2019 Western Canadian Baseball League season.
Libke takes over from Kyle Swannack, who is starting a baseball academy in Medicine Hat
During the 2018 season, Libke finished with a 5-1 record, earning a 3.73 earned run average. He struck out 42 batters during the season.
