Tigers move McGovern to Kootenay for draft pick
MEDICINE HAT, AB β A numbers game between the pipes was rectified by the Medicine Hat Tigers on Monday, shipping Duncan McGovern to the Kootenay ICE.
In exchange for the 2000-born goaltender, the Tigers will receive a 2019 fifth-round WHL bantam draft pick from Kootenay.
This trade comes after the Tigers elected to keep over-age veteran Michael Bullion and second-year goalie Jordan Hollett, following a trade involving Zach Fischer that opened up a 20-year-old spot.
McGovern played in seven games with Medicine Hat last year, posting a 3-4 record with a 4.28 goals against average and a .854 save percentage.
