Demo Daze draws sporting newcomers to Family Leisure Centre
MEDICINE HAT, AB – A sneak peek into a variety of different sports at the Family Leisure Centre on Saturday, as the first ‘Demo Daze’ was held.
A total of 16 different sports groups around the city either put on demonstrations at the FLC or ran information booths inside to educate residents about what they provide.
Popular events on Saturday included water polo, wheelchair basketball and speed skating, while other non-traditional sports such as swing dancing and roller derby were featured as well.
Active Living Coordinator Jenny Styner said Demo Daze provided residents a chance to expand their sporting horizons.
