Harry passed away at his home in Medicine Hat on Monday, November 9, 2020, surrounded by his wife and two daughters. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Freda; their five children, Troy (Liz), Shane, Lee Anne (Lonny), Eric, Nicole and Desiree; grandchildren, Cassidy (Joey), Cara (Waleed), Mitchell, Jessie, Cameron, Eli, Tayvis and Carson; three sisters, Carol (Doug), Shirley, Betty (Dale) and their families. Harry was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Beatrice as well as Freda’s parents, Susan and George. He was born on June 5, 1949, in Melfort, SK. Harry and Freda raised their children in Lumsden and later settled in Medicine Hat. Harry was a steel worker at IPSCO for many years where he built many lifelong friendships. He loved riding his Harley and cheering for his beloved Saskatchewan Roughriders and Montréal Canadiens. Harry’s rebel spirit will live on forever. As with everything in his life, he did it his way. A memorial service to celebrate Harry’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Harry’s name may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society, 200 – 325 Manning Road N.E., Calgary, AB., T2E 2P5.
