It is with heavy hearts that Melvyn and the family announce the passing of their beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Gloria Jean Wall at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Friday, October 9, 2020, at the age of 73 years. Gloria was born in Regina, Sk., and raised in Moose Jaw, Sk. She married the love of her life, Melvyn Kenneth Wall on July 21, 1962 in Moose Jaw. Gloria was raised Roman Catholic and maintained her faith in God throughout her life. She worked for many years on the production line at Armstrong Cheese. Gloria had a wonderful sense of humour, very loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family was her most valued treasure. She loved camping with the family, bingo, reading, gardening and her beloved dogs. Gloria was a Toronto Blue Jays fan through and through and let everyone know that she was in love with Jose Bautista. Gloria was a dedicated volunteer for Diabetes and Heart & Stroke every year for 30 years. Some of her most memorabile occasions were her children’s birthdays, family get togethers, the trip to Hawaii and especially renewing their 50th Anniversary wedding vows in Las Vegas by Elvis himself. Gloria will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 58 years, Melvyn; their children, Jean Belcastro, Ken Wall, Bryan Wall (Claris Feliz); grand-children, Maria Belcastro, Melissa (Danilo) Schoenfeldt, Frank Belcastro, Bryan Melvyn Wall, Kenneth Domingo Wall; great-grandchildren, Taylor Belcastro-Sluth and Julian Schoenfeldt, Ryan Belcastro-Sluth, Alexandra Belcastro-Sluth; siblings, Barb Stevenson, Betty Farnsworth, Lawerence Sorowski, Shirley Cossette, Darlene Gunn as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Gloria was predeceased by her parents, John and Sophie Sorowski; brothers, Johnny Sorowski and Doug Sorowski. The celebration of Gloria’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, AB., on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. Due to restrictions in place from the Chief Medical Officer of Health regarding COVID – 19, funeral services are limited to no more than 100 attendees. As a courtesy, Gloria’s service will be live streamed through the Cook Southland website.
