It is with a heavy heart that Evelyn Leismeister announces that her beloved husband, Francis ‘Frank’ Xavier Leismeister passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital, on Friday, January 22, 2021, at the age of 84 years. Frank was born on October 20, 1936, in Maple Creek, SK. He married the love of his life, Evelyn on June 20, 1959, sharing 62 beautiful years together. Frank always like to keep busy especially tinkering around in the garage. In his leisure, he so enjoyed curling, snowmobiling and hunting. Frank was a gun enthusiast having collected many over the years. He will be forever remembered in the hearts of his family, beloved wife, Evelyn; sons, Darcy (Kerri), David and Gregory; grandchildren, Troy, Kalee and Zachary; sisters, Tilly Schafer and Kathy (Clem) Kuntz as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Jacob and Dorothy Leismeister; siblings, Basil, Jack and Lorraine. A private family funeral service will be celebrated at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel with Father Iqbal Khurshid officiating. Columbarium placement will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
