It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Edna Doreen Stach (nee Howes). She passed away at the Good Samaritan Southridge Village in Medicine Hat on Sunday July 18, 2021, at the age of 92 years. Edna was born near Success, SK., on November 22, 1928, to Florence and Elmer Howes and raised on the family farm along with her two brothers and four sisters. She married Robert Clarence Stach of Swift Current, SK., on June 4, 1948, and began a life of running a home and raising a family. In September 1962, they moved to Medicine Hat where they continued to live and celebrate 69 years of marriage. Edna enjoyed camping, sewing, cross stitch, reading and “wine time” on her deck listening to the birds, but most importantly she enjoyed raising her children, and the company of her family. Edna is survived by her three children: Larry (Sandy) Stach and their children: Misty (Mike) Stach, Amber (Gary) Cameron and their son, Jax; Diane (Barry) Sulz and their children: Angela Sulz, Stacey (Ryan) Sulz and their daughter Ella; Darcy Stach (Grace) and their children: Jesse (Tanya) Stach and Jason Stach. Edna was predeceased by her loving husband Robert ‘Bob’ Stach. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
