Arthur Peter
1934 ~ 2020
It is with deep sadness that we, the family of Arthur James Peter, announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He passed away peacefully in Medicine Hat on Tuesday, March 31, 2020, after a life well lived. Art is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn; daughters, Pat (Neil) Munro and Shelly (Doug) Kaupp as well as his grandchildren, Matthew, Laura and Emilee. He is also survived by a sister, Joyce Rasmussen; sister-in-law, Donna Weiss as well as nieces, nephews and extended family including many wonderful friends in his community and around the province. Art spent 38 years working for the Alberta Forest Service and was stationed in many communities across the province. Art and Marilyn moved to Medicine Hat in 2003 where they enjoyed spending time with friends, family, travelling and their cabin in Elkwater. Special thanks to Dr. Foley and the nursing staff on the 4th floor at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital for the exceptional care that they provided. As per Dad’s wishes, a private interment will take place at the St. Margaret’s Church Cemetery in Cypress Hills at a later date.
