Concerned mother calls police about a piece of plastic

MEDICINE HAT — An item on the city police Calls for Service jumps off the screen;  a call about a bomb found on Cornell Crescent S.W. late yesterday afternoon.
 
But city police say it was nothing more than a mother who was concerned about a piece of plastic her child brought home. 
 
Given the recent scare at Crescent Heights high school and another one in Kin Coulee in February, she was concerned the item might be from an explosive device and called police.
 
It was really just a piece of plastic.
