MEDICINE HAT, AB — A number of city facilities and services will be closed to mark Good Friday.

The City of Medicine Hat says multiple facilities, including City Hall and department offices, will be closed on Friday, and will reopen on Monday.

The Family Leisure Centre, while closed all day on Friday, will reopen with regular hours on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

The Veiner Centre and Strathcona Centre will be closed on Friday, reopening on Monday.

Good Friday is one of only two days of the year (along with Christmas Day) where Medicine Hat Transit does not run at all. Regular transit service resumes Saturday.

There will be no garbage pickup on Friday. It will resume Monday in Zone 4 of the city.

While there will be no garbage pickup, the city landfill will remain open for residents.
