Arrows’ home game against Austin postponed due to weather-related flight issues
TORONTO — The Toronto Arrows’ scheduled home game Sunday has been cancelled due to “weather-related flight cancellations’ involving Austin Elite Rugby.
Major League Rugby said it was looking into alternative dates.
“We are naturally disappointed, but these circumstances are totally out of our control,” Arrows vice-president and GM Mark Winokur said in a statement. “We are working hard with the league and Austin to reschedule the match, and we appreciate everyone’s support and understanding.
“This is an unforeseen flight-related experience for us and Austin, but we will work through it to find the best possible outcome.”
