Evander Kane announces death of unborn child

SAN JOSE, CA — San Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane has revealed he and his wife lost their daughter.

Taking to Twitter Thursday afternoon, Kane posted a statement, revealing his wife suffered a miscarriage at 26 weeks recently.

“As expecting parents, this past week has broken us,” the statement reads. “We’ve received a ton of support from family and friends, and we truly want to thank them.

“We would also like to thank our Sharks Family for their support, compassion and allowing me to be with my family at this time.”
