Sibling rivalry fueling McNaughton wrestling success

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Bailee and Nolan McNaughton share a unique relationship in wrestling.

Taking after their older brother, Alex, who’s since graduated from Hat High, the two siblings are among the best high school competitors in Alberta.

Bailee, a Grade 10 Hat High Mohawk, won bronze at last year’s U17/U19 Canadian Championships. She’s eying up a gold medal at the ASAA Provincial Championships in March and is a top contender to represent Team Alberta at the 2019 Canada Summer Games in August.

She’s taking after Nolan, a senior for the Mohawks, who struck gold as provincials in Grade 10.

Although they celebrate each other’s accomplishments, they’re also each other’s greatest test.
