INTERVIEW: St. FX principal discusses new sports academy

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Beginning this September, student-athletes in Grades 4 to 6 at St. Francis Xavier School will have the chance to participate in the St. FX Sports Academy.

The academy will focus training on four sports — baseball, soccer, volleyball, and basketball with training twice per week in the afternoon.

School Principal Nick Gale is the mastermind behind the new sports academy, having come from the Notre Dame Academy before joining the front office at St. FX.

CHAT Sports sat down with Gale to discuss the synergy between the Notre Dame Academy and the St. FX Sports Academy, how the location of the school can benefit student-athletes, what the new Excellence Program will offer students, and more.
