MEDICINE HAT, AB — Medicine Hat Tigers goaltender Mads Sogaard left Wednesday night’s game against Edmonton in the second period with what appeared to be a lower-body injury.

Mitch Bach of CHAT Sports reported the 18-year-old rookie, who has earned a majority of the Tigers starts this season, was bumped into his own cage.

After sliding from side-to-side under the supervision of Tigers trainer Mikki Lanuk, Sogaard exited the game and went straight into the dressing room.

Jordan Hollett took over from his fellow netminder with the Tigers trailing 2-1.

6’7″ Sogaard, who recently represented Team Denmark at the World Juniors, owns a 10-4-2-2 record, along with a WHL rookie-leading 2.40 goals-against average and .930 save-percentage in 21 games this season.
