Sogaard leaves game with apparent injury

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Medicine Hat Tigers goaltender Mads Sogaard left Wednesday night’s game against Edmonton in the second period with what appeared to be a lower-body injury.

Sogaard is hurt. Out comes Mikki Lanuk. Looked like he got checked into his own cage.#whl

Mitch Bach of CHAT Sports reported the 18-year-old rookie, who has earned a majority of the Tigers starts this season, was bumped into his own cage.

After sliding from side-to-side under the supervision of Tigers trainer Mikki Lanuk, Sogaard exited the game and went straight into the dressing room.

Massive scrum in front of the net so it was hard to see what happened exactly. Sogard is grasping his right hip/hand and skates off. Goes straight into the dressing room, and Hollett comes in. #whl #mhsports
