Flaring at CF Industries part of normal operations

MEDICINE HAT, AB — CF Industries says there is no cause for concern with the flame seen above the plant in Medicine Hat Wednesday morning.

Flaring is a common sight at the plant, however, the flame appeared much larger than usual at approximately 8:30 a.m.

CHAT Television, along with sister stations CHAT 94.5 and MY96 received several calls from listeners and viewers, expressing concern.

We reached out to CF Industries, who say the flaring Wednesday morning is part of normal operations. The company adds they have also notified Medicine Hat Fire Services about the flaring.
