EDMONTON, AB — The Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission has announced a cannabis recall in Alberta.

Up Cannabis Inc. is voluntarily recalling a portion of its Eldo 7 gram dried cannabis product due to “detectable levels of mould/microbial contaminants,” accord to a news release on Friday.

Newstrike Brands, the parent company of Up Cannabis, says the recall affects 1,428 units of product, and they were only sold in Alberta, according to a statement.

AGLC says Health Canada has been notified and will conduct additional testing of the product. It is not expected the contaminants will have undesirable health effects on consumers.

The affected product has a lot number L1204201. If you have purchased this product, it can be returned to the retailer it was purchased from for a full refund.

Newstrike says there have been no quality complaints or adverse reactions regarding the affected product lot.
