MLA Wanner to announce future plans tonight

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Medicine Hat MLA Bob Wanner will announce his future plans tonight.

The Speaker of the Legislature is hosting his annual come-and-go winter social from 5:30-9:30 p.m. at Sabai Infusion Restaurant on Second Street Southeast.

According to a release sent by his office, MLA Wanner “will announce his future as the representative for Medicine Hat.”

The announcement will take place at 6 p.m.

Wanner was elected in 2015 under the NDP banner.

While other NDP MLAs have announced their intentions to seek re-election in 2019, Wanner has remained quiet on his future plans when asked by CHAT News this year.

A provincial election is expected in spring 2019.
