Holiday Train rolls into Medicine Hat tonight

MEDICINE HAT, AB — A popular holiday tradition is making a stop in Medicine Hat tonight.

The Canadian Pacific Railway Holiday Train is scheduled to arrive in Medicine Hat at approximately 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The train will be stopping in the area of Queen Street and North Railway Street in the area near the rail yard.

Country singer Terri Clark, who is originally from Medicine Hat, will be performing alongside Sierra Noble and Kelly Prescott. The concert is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.

The Holiday Train has been running since 1999, and CP donates money to local food banks at each stop. Residents are also encouraged to bring donations to the event.

At 5 p.m., the train will head to Tilley, and is scheduled to stop at the Southeast side of crossing at Highway 876 at 6:30 p.m. The train is also scheduled to stop in Brooks at 7:45 p.m. in the back of the Civic Building on First Avenue. The train’s final stop for the day is in Gleichen at 9:55 p.m., in the field adjacent to the track along Railway Street and Second Avenue.
