MEDICINE HAT, AB — What they lost in height, they make up for in speed and athleticism.
The McCoy Colts SV boys basketball team has changed a lot since last season. Not only did the crew lose four starters due to graduation, they also acknowledge they’ve lost a good deal of size and shooting ability.
However, they’re one of the fastest teams in southern Alberta, and come loaded with eight experience-driven Grade 12’s.
Senior players Ethan Gripp and Chayce Davies explained to Mitch Bach of CHAT Sports how the team has changed since last season, and whether they believe a provincial berth could be in sight. Plus, head coach B.J Melle, who’s entering his 17th campaign at the helm, discusses the added workload he’s putting on his veterans.
