Mad Hatter & Happy Hatter – Dec 6

Happy Hatter
It’s great to see so many Christmas lights and decorations!

Happy Hatter
That the Third Street NW and Saamis Drive intersection is finally open!

Mad Hatter
Tell those selfish people who live near the primrose property that city property aren’t for their exclusive use, it’s for all citizens and if it can add revenue to the city coffers, than make it happen. The world does not revolve around the self-centred property owners who live near this property. Maybe now the idea of having the Veiner centre there isn’t such a bad idea.

Happy Hatter
Sanding trucks were out while it was still snowing as opposed to afterwards when the snow is packed down and sanding is useless. Good job City of MH, keep it up all winter long!

Mad Hatter
Wish drivers would stop tailgating!

Happy Hatter
They should make the area along Primrose a huge community ice skating rink for the winter.

Mad Hatter
Our thoughts and prayers to the lady that was involved in an accident on 13th Avenue, but let’s call the cause of the accident what it really was. Jaywalking – cross or walk in the street or road unlawfully or without regard for approaching traffic. I am glad to hear the driver was not charged but now s/he has to live with any emotion damage caused by pedestrians possibly doing similar actions in the future. Regarding the statement: “MHPS said they would like to remind pedestrians that ‘short cutting’ marked crosswalks can create hazardous situations like what is described above”. Again, the correct term is jay walking which is illegal and to adapt the correct terminology for the offense that was committed as it causes misleading ideas. That is, unless you are telling me that next time any pedestrian in Medicine Hat that is being fined for jay walking they can use the cop-out term, “short cutting” and get out of a ticket?

Mad Hatter
Drive with your low beams on to engage your taillights. In the winter with steam from exhausts and blowing snow you are in danger of being rear ended because your car cannot be seen.

Mad Hatter
The people on primrose drive have paid a high price for their houses because of the green space. They are paying taxes on that high price.

Mad Hatter
As a taxpayer, I’m thoroughly disgusted that my taxes are going up because we are subsidizing SMG to operate the Canalta Centre. They are a privately-owned company, why are we shelling out nearly 2,000,000 a year to them?

Mad Hatter
The Federal Conservative Leader should get his facts straight; it’s not Trudeau’s fault for no pipelines, it was that dough-head Harper and his crony’s.

Mad Hatter
Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s government has spent more than $2.3 million to photograph Conservative cabinet ministers since it came to power, iPolitics has learned. (Ipolitics 2015 article)
