Kwahommies punch their ticket to Mike Dea Classic finals

EDMONTON, AB – The Medicine Hat High Kwahommies basketball team will have a chance at capping off a perfect tournament up north on Saturday night.

On Friday, the Kwahommies defeated the St. Joseph Guardians 59-55 in semi-final action at the 21st annual Mike Dea Classic in Edmonton to advance to the tournament finals.

Medicine Hat will square off against the Dr. Martin LeBoldus Golden Suns out of Regina in the gold medal contest, with tip-off set for 6:00 pm on Saturday.

As for the Mohawks basketball team, they lost a heartbreaker in the semi-finals on Friday to the Jasper Place Rebels after starting their tournament with a 2-0 record.
