MEDICINE HAT, AB – Five month old bumble has passed away.

The kitten was found near 15 street southwest on Friday in a dumpster.

Rescuers were surprised to find a long piece of plastic tubing lodged down his throat when they found him, It’s unknown if bumble ate it himself, or someone was involved.

The Alberta Pound and Rescue Centre (APARC) had some difficulties feeding bumble when he first came in, but initially expected him to recover.

Bumble went into the vet on Tuesday and after having multiple surgeries including a stomach draining and intestine resection he succumbed to his injuries.

APARC says Veterinarians at the Animal Medicial Centre South did everything they could.

They thanked those who supported him with donations as well.

“At this time we would like to thank everyone for your support and well wishes,” says APARC in a Facebook post. “As well as ask everyone to keep their pets safe inside and hug them just a little closer tonight.”
