LETHBRIDGE, AB — A Brooks man wanted by Lethbridge Police after he allegedly assaulted a police officer and tried to remove his Taser has turned himself in to police.

According to the Lethbridge Police Service, Peyton Thomas Kale Many Shots, 18, recently turned himself in to Calgary Police.

Many Shots is charged with assaulting a peace officer, disarming or attempting to disarm a peace officer and obstructing a peace officer.

The charges stem from an incident in Lethbridge Sunday morning where police were called to what they describe as an out of control party.

Many Shots is alleged to have tackled a police officer who was arresting another person, and tried to grab his Taser from his holster. The officer was able to fight off the suspect and keep his Taser.

A judicial interim release hearing took place, and Many Shots was released on a recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in Lethbridge provincial court on November 20.
