LETHBRIDGE, AB — Lethbridge Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of an 18-year-old man from Brooks who allegedly assaulted a police officer and tried to disarm him.

Police issued the warrant for Peyton Thomas Kale Many Shots on Tuesday, after responding to an out of control party Sunday morning in Lethbridge.

The party took place at La Cite Des Prairies in the 600 block of 21 Street South. When officers arrived, they were met by a large crowd of intoxicated youths, who were leaving the building after a fire extinguisher was discharged and a number of fights broke out in the gym. The facility was rented for a private Halloween party, and police estimate approximately 100-150 youths aged 15-21 were in attendance and consuming alcohol.

As people were leaving the scene, a secondary disturbance and fight broke out one block south of the school.

Police allege Many Shots tackled an officer from behind while he was arresting another person, knocking him to the ground. Once on the ground, officers allege Many Shots tried to remove the conducted energy weapon from the officer’s holster. The officer was able to break free and maintain control of the weapon. The officer suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Police estimate the damage to the school at approximately $4,000

Many Shots is wanted on charges of assaulting a peace officer, disarming or attempting to disarm a peace officer and obstructing a peace officer. Anyone with information on Many Shots’ location are asked to call Lethbridge Police at 403-328-4444 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
