Red Deer County man charged with sexual interference

RED DEER COUNTY, AB — A 43-year-old man in Red Deer County is accused of sexually assaulting three children in his care.

The man was arrested on September 6th after RCMP received reports of the allegations.

The man’s name is not being released in an effort to protect the identity of the children.

The alleged offences took place between 2012 and 2018. The three children were under the age of 10 at the time.

The children are being supported by caregivers and the Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre.

The man is facing 10 charges, including sexual assault, sexual interference, sexual exploitation of a young person and invitation to sexual touching.

The man was released on conditions, and is scheduled to appear in Red Deer provincial court on October 4.
