Vogelsang was arrested in Medicine Hat last October after a pair of alleged robberies on October 19 and 20 at branches of the Royal Bank of Canada and the Bank of Montreal. He is facing two charges of robbery in connection with the incidents.

Police say in both incidents, a man walked into a bank, demanded a sum of money and fled the scene once he received it.

Vogelsang has also been charged in connection with am alleged bank robbery in Saskatoon on July 31st, as well as three alleged robberies in Regina on July 8, October 13 and October 18.

The appearance also saw guilty pleas entered in court for Vogelsang in connection with charges of breaching a protection order in Manitoba, where he was fined $800. The charges are unrelated to his robbery charges.

In a previous court appearance, Vogelsang elected to be tried by judge and jury in the Medicine Hat Court of Queen’s Bench on his Medicine Hat charges.
