Crowley has four points as Canada beats Australia at world lacrosse championship
NETANYA, Israel — Kevin Crowley had a goal and three assists as Canada wrapped up preliminary-round play with a 13-7 win over Australia on Tuesday at the world lacrosse championship.
Mark Matthews and Ben McIntosh each had two goals and an assist for defending champion Canada, which finished pool play with a 4-1 record.
Curtis Dickson scored twice and Wesley Berg and Joshua Byrne each had a goal and an assist for Canada, while Mark Cockerton, Tre Leclaire, Ian MacKay and Jeffrey Teat also scored.
Dillon Ward made 10 saves while allowing seven goals. He was replaced with 3:50 left to play in regulation by Brennan Donville, who wasn’t tasked with making a save.
