Cannabis store bylaw public hearing during Monday’s city council meeting

MEDICINE HAT, AB — It’s a short agenda for Medicine Hat city council on Monday, but one item will have a major impact on the city moving forward.

During the meeting, council will be hosting a public hearing regarding proposed locations for cannabis businesses to set up shop in Medicine Hat once legalization occurs October 16.

The maps and boundaries were presented in June at a meeting of the municipal planning commission.

Residents and business owners will have the opportunity to share their opinion on the proposed boundaries.

The meeting gets underway at 6:30 p.m.
