MEDICINE HAT, AB – A warm night at the Medicine Hat Speedway on Saturday meant for some fast times for drivers in three divisions.

It was the third race day of the season for stock car and truck drivers, with points on the line once again before next weekend’s fan appreciation races.

For the second straight race, Jonathan Rissling took the checkered flag in the Hobby Stock division to go along with his win back on June 23.

Jake Sissons grabbed silver for the second consecutive race, while Alysha Stratton found the podium for the first time with a third place finish in her number 14 car.

Shawn Lowe won his first race of the season in the Elite Street Stock division, beating both Al Patterson and last race’s champion Mitch Stovka for the checkered flag.

After being knocked off the podium last race day, Jason Woicichowski came back with a vengeance on Saturday to win gold in the Renegade Truck division.

His second victory of the year, Woicichowski beat out both Curtis Bigelow and Jason Hardy for top spot in the Renegade Trucks.

Now with three races under their belts, the Medicine Hat Speedway welcomes drivers for two days of racing for their Fan Appreciation Weekend.

Drivers in the Mini-Cup, Baby Grand, IMCA Modified, Elite Street Street, and Hobby Stock divisions will hit the track on both July 14 and 15.
